Is cloning good for humanity?

Is Cloning Good For Humanity?
By Derek Corica
Authors Note: I am writing this essay on the good and bad things about cloning.
For the last couple decades the idea of cloning animals and humans has grown a lot it is a very hot topic in the science world. There have been a lot of attempts on cloning animals such as cows, chicken, and sheep and they have succeeded. Cloning is a very interesting topic in both good and bad ways.
A lot of people say cloning is a good thing for humanity. First of all, if cloning is perfected we could clone things that had gone extinct a million years ago and learn more about the past and how things happened. Another reason it could be good is because if a country is running out of food or something they could just clone different animals so they could have food and not starve. Also if they cloned cows, food production would go up and prices would go down. If they can start human cloning they could clone different parts of the body so is someone needed a new kidney they could clone one instead of someone having to donate their own.
Another reason that cloning could be good for humanity is because scientists can clone animals that are endangered like the panda and tiger if it comes down to there are only a few tigers left, scientists can clone the tiger thus making more of them. Furthermore scientists can also use cloning for stem cell research to watch the development of different cancers and diseases and they can find a cure for cancer and diseases.
Although people support cloning some people don’t. They think it’s a bad thing that people are cloning different things.  Some are protesters that think its animal cruelty and its hurting the animals. People think it’s a waste of money because the success rate is very low, fewer than 20% the success rate of the cloned animal being born. Even if it’s born the rate or survival through the first four weeks is very low. Most of the time the people that are against cloning are people with a strong faith, they feel that cloning is “Playing God”.
Cloning can either be a good thing and a bad thing; it just depends on how you look at it.  I think it’s a good thing; there is a much better up side than down side and it can help the planet.

Cause and Effect for winning

Cause and Effect for Winning
Authors note: I am writing this piece to show the cause and effects for winning.
Winning is the best feeling you can have. It shows that you have accomplished something and it also shows that you are better than the team that you just beat. It also is a huge confidence booster. Winning is the best feeling ever.

First of all when you win there are a lot of effects, winning in anything is an accomplishment if it’s winning a football game, basketball game, anything that has to do with winning. Some effects are it raises your confidence; it also makes you feel better. Also if you win going into the next game you feel like you can beat them and if you play the same team twice and you win the first game you go into the second game with a mentality that if you can beat them once you can beat them again.

Second just one win can spark a team to do better the rest of the season like Indiana college in college basketball they were struggling the first part of the season they were playing number 1 ranked Kentucky and they had beat Kentucky on a last second buzzer beater three to win the game and after that win Indiana went on a winning streak and ended up being ranked number 16 in the country. There are many other stories like this that winning just one game made a team so motivated and confident they say “Hey we can win this game, why can’t we keep winning” and they end up making news and they start accomplishing things.

Winning is the best thing ever because it helps get your confidence up. Especially in sports terms, it is the best thing for you.

Ray Allen

Ray Allen
Walter Ray Allen was said to have been born with a basketball in his arms, on July 20, 1975 Ray had been born with one thing in his mind to dominate the NBA from behind the arc. With one of the fastest release times in the NBA Ray can fool his defenders and hit threes with no effort. Ray Allen is the uncontested three point champion in the NBA past and present.

Why Ray is the three point champion because his amazing release timing and speed his release time only takes .73 seconds to release the ball its fast like a cheetah. Also is the angle it takes to make a three pointer is 48 degrees Ray’s angle if off a tenth of that he’s more accurate than a heat seeking missile with his threes.

Also why he is so deadly from three point range is because his release point, accuracy improves the closer you get to the hoop well if he got any closer to the hoop it wouldn’t be a three but he consistently times his mechanics so he releases the ball at the top of his jump or the highest point. With the ball at nine feet in the air makes the release as close to the hoop as he will get, there was a test seeing if Ray released the ball on the highest point of his jump and he consistently did that nine out of ten times. That kind of consistency is unmatched most basketball players are less accurate then Ray from medium range and sometimes even close range and that involves getting closer to the hoop.

Ray Allen is the unmatched three point champion of the past and present, his kind of talent can’t be matched, his knowledge of math increases his understanding of when to release the ball at a perfect angle and a perfect timing every time.
