Basketball Essay
Do you play sports? Well I do and my absolute favorite sport is basketball, I play two kinds of basketball I play for rec and school basketball. It is such a fun and athletic game and I know a lot about the game to. Basketball is the best sport ever.
My introduction to basketball was when I saw my first Milwaukee Bucks game with my dad, I immediately loved it. I started when I was 10 years old playing for the Pewaukee rec teams. My first team won the Richard Opie tournament, and I have played since. I think my best position is at shooting guard but I really want to play point guard. My favorite memory of basketball was meeting Steve Nash point guard for the Phoenix Suns I got to shake his hand and get an autograph from him. It was when the Suns came to play the Bucks, I have played a total of four years of basketball and I want t keep on playing. I always practice with my friend Alex at his hoop we also play a lot of pickup games with his eighth grade friends. I think I’m as good as I am because I play against eighth graders all the time and they are twice my size so I learned from them. From playing with them I learned a lot especially with shooting because since they were all taller than me I had to get around them or the ball would end up back in my face, I don’t want that.

I’m also a huge fan of the game of basketball my favorite teams are the Milwaukee Bucks, the Atlanta Hawks, and the Oklahoma City Thunder. My favorite players are Steve Nash, Kevin Durant, Joe Johnson, Dwayne Wade, Ray Allen, and Kobe Bryant. They are all very good players for their teams; they all stand out in their own way. I go to about five games a year but I watch the games on TV to. I especially like when the games are close like by a couple points or when my favorite players are hot in scoring. Like when Kobe hit I think it was twelve of thirteen three-pointers to break the record for most three-pointers in a single game. But my favorite game is the NBA finals this year it is between the Miami Heat vs. the Dallas Mavericks.

Basketball is the best sport ever. I hope to continue playing basketball all the way through college into the pros. It is my dream to play in the NBA play alongside my idols and be one of the greats in basketball like MJ or Kareem-Abdul Jabar, even if I don’t get to the pros I will always be a fan of the game and route my team onto victory.
