Main characters
Authors Note: In this book I am writing to compare and contrast two characters in two different books.
In the last three weeks I have read two interesting books “The Outsiders” and “My Brother Sam Is Dead”. I realized that the two main characters in the book are very much alike. Tim and Ponyboy are there names Tim is from “My Brother Sam Is Dead” and Ponyboy is from “The Outsiders”. The characters are very much alike in how they progress throughout the book.
Tim and Ponyboy change throughout the book in how they act and the role they play in the family. Like for the both of them for Tim his dad died and for Pony boy his best friends had died. So they had lost someone that was close to them, they also were treated very much alike other people said that they were too young to do certain things because they were too young. Also the scene changes throughout the book for both Tim and Ponyboy emotionally, because it gets sadder as the book goes on because people that they loved are dying.
They are different because the stories take place in different time periods, they lost a different member in their family Tim lost his dad and brother and Pony boy lost two of his friends but in the book his friends are his family. Also they lived differently Pony boy lived on the street and Tim lived in a nice house Tim had nice things and Pony boy didn’t have much at all besides a rundown house with little money and no parents they had died also when he was at a young age the only reason he has a house to live in is because his two brothers got jobs to let them have the house.
The biggest thing Tim and Pony boy have in common is how they experience death symbolism for Tim he experiences death symbolism by his dad being arrested and dying and seeing his brother get shot, and for Pony boy he experiences death symbolism by two of his friends dying and to him his friends and brothers are his family.
In this book the two characters Tim and Pony boy are very much alike but they are different at the same time just most of their traits are the same also the stories around them and how they experience death symbolism.

Tim wanting to be a man
Authors note: I wrote this essay on the main conflict in the book My Brother Sam Is Dead and explaining the conflict and how it was resolved during the book.
In the book “My Brother Sam Is Dead”, there are many conflicts like Sam and his dad but the main conflict is Sam’s brother Tim wanting to be a man. The main conflict in the story is Tim wanting to be a man but cant because he is too young.
In the book it is easy to tell that Sam is Tim’s role model he looks up to Sam in every way and wishes he could do what Sam can do but he is too young to do it. Like going on trips with his dad to trade cows and other things for money to run the tavern. But Tim is stuck doing chores around the house like milking the cows and collecting eggs from the chickens. Or like go to college and score what they call “telling points” that I think it is an old saying for bragging rights.
But the conflict was resolved in the book when father needed Tim to go on a trip with him to sell cattle. Well on the way back something tragic happened, father got captured and Tim had to pull the cart home it was a long way too. Since father had been killed and Sam was in war it was up to Tim and his mom to do all the chores and run the tavern. So Tim had to take up much more chores and duties, but after he took the long trip home he had changed he had no longer dreaded doing chores, he was okay with them and was ready to do the extra work, therefore the conflict had ended and Tim had become a man on the inside by what he changed even Sam had admitted that Tim had changed a lot.

Sam and his dad's fight
Point Of View
Authors note: This is a point of view essay from the book My Brother Sam is Dead. The scene that Sam had ran away from home after a fight he got into with his dad.
When Sam came home from college he had shocked his family by what he was wearing. He was wearing an American uniform and said he was going to fight the British, this shocked everyone because the Meeker family were all for the British ruling America. There was a small argument between Sam and his dad which lead to the big argument that Sam and his dad had the next day. Tim, Sam’s younger brother, had woken up to the shouts of Sam and his dad, he went down stairs to see the two arguing they were both mad and it had ended with Sam leaving and running away.
From the dad’s point of view he was mad but he was also worried, he was mad because he was ok with the British and that was what he believed in and Sam was raised with the same belief. But Sam had changed his view on the British and wanted to be free, he was worried because Sam could get killed by the British in battle and he would be heartbroken if one of his sons died, like after Sam runs away there are quotes by the dad that states he is somewhat worried about Sam, like when Mr. Heron came to the tavern and asked the dad if Tim can deliver a message to Fairfield and father said” No, I’ve already lost one son in this war and I’m not going to lose another one”.
From Sam’s point of view he wants to fight for what he believes in and he believes that the colonies should be free, so he wants to fight for his freedom as well as the other patriots. He knows that he is making his father mad by not supporting England but he changed his beliefs, he is putting his life on the line to fight an impossible war because at that time England had the most powerful army in the world, it was very improbable that the colonists were going to win and they knew that but they had the drive to go and at least to try like Sam did.
That was the point of view from Sam’s perspective and his dads perspective of the fight that happened in the book.

Misjudged
Misjudged
Authors Note- I wrote this essay to prove the stereotype that the Greasers are misjudged by everyone else.
In the book the outsiders there are a lot of stereotype. One of them is about the whole Greaser’s gang the stereotype is. Because of how they look no one thinks there good enough to be part of a regular society because of how they look and how they live.
They aren’t the richest people, they barley have any money at all, there parents don’t care about them, and they are forced to survive any way that’s possible, unlike the Socs who are rich and spoiled, with wealthy parents that can get them anything they want as well as caring about their kids.
Since the Greasers live in these conditions and look like the people that see them on the streets and even the Socs think they aren’t good enough to be accepted like any other person, they are considered to be the lowest stature of living. Compared to the socs they are gum on the bottom of humanities shoe. But the greasers don’t care because they accept the fact that they are different then everybody else.
That is why the stereotype that the Greasers are misjudged is true, and I hope that I proved that to you through this essay.

Authors note: This is a letter to Dally from me about what I like and don’t like about him.
Dally I am writing a letter to you about well you. I think you are pretty cool you have the rough and tough attitude that I like, and I think that you have a tragic history having to grow up on the streets of New York going to jail at the age of ten. It’s pretty tragic, but you are doing well now I’ve read, I’m sorry to hear about Johnny being dead and all I know that you are very sad about him but keep your head up also you should have given Ponyboy a ride home. Well back to the subject I think you need to get a better temper you have a shorter fuse than my sister and that’s short, also anger management is another thing you need to work on you can overreact to the simplest of things. Your history is very sad born and raised on the streets of New York you have been arrested many times and you are a criminal you need to work past that and become a better person by controlling your anger.

The Outsiders
The Outsiders
It was a cold night as Johnny and Pony boy were walking to the park it was about two in the morning, why were they taking this walk you ask well it all started when Pony boy came home late at night he got yelled at by his big brother there was back and forth between them and then his older brother slapped him and Pony boy ran away. Here we are now they have just arrived at the park that’s when they see the blue mustang pull up packed with 5 socs that were angry and drunk Johnny quickly pulled out his switch blade and was ready to fight but the socs had surrounded them they took Pony boy and shoved his bead into the fountain and they were about to pull a blade on Johnny he was being held back by two socs. But then the soc with the blade went down it was Darry and Soda they had come to look for Pony boy and Johnny soda charged the soc that was trying to drown Pony boy and threw him off of Pony and threw a punch at his face instantly giving him a bloody nose now it was a fair fight a soc threw a punch at Darry hitting him in the stomach Johnny tackled him to the ground while Darry gained his breath back Soda was taking blows from a soc he fell to the ground and pony leaped up and upper cutted the soc that was punching Johnny suddenly a huge rush of sirens and flashing lights had appeared all around the park ten officers poured out of cars immediately surrounding the boys and arrested them all.
Authors note: This was a recreated fight scene from when Johnny killed Bob the soc. I added more action and suspense.

Are You Proud Of Your Country?
Are you proud of your country?
Authors note: I wrote this story to express that I am proud of my country and to inform my readers that we live in the best country ever, and the things that I don’t like about the country.
I am somewhat proud of my country and somewhat not proud of my country I am proud of my country because we are a well developed country that is a free country and isn't communist. Also we have many things that other countries don’t have like freedom of choice, speech, etc. and just freedom. We have a very strong military that has won almost all wars we have been in. Also the country has been through many rough times but we always manage to pull through and maintain stability, also in our history we rose up to fight for freedom against England and we won even though the odds were stacked up against us we still beat England to declare our independence and be free.
Like I am not proud is that they can't handle their money and we are going to be forever in debt because everyone is greedy, also we can be to helpful when it comes to sending relief funds to other countries I like that the government does that but they can go overboard a lot of the times it seems like whenever there is a natural disaster we have to send 10’s of millions of dollars to that country. That doesn’t solve the debt problem it only digs the hole deeper.

The Vikings
The Vikings
In the sports world there are many teams and many different sports but football is the best sport on earth. In the NFL there are 32 teams, 2 conferences the NFC and AFC there are four divisions in each conference, and in the NFC north lies the best team ever, the Minnesota Vikings.
The only thing people can say about them is they have never won the super bowl, but they have been there four times and Dan Marino never won the big game but he is one of the best QB’s ever. They have had a countless number of elite stars on the team and several Hall Of Famers including a future hall of famer Adrian Peterson. Granted the team isn’t doing to good this year at 1-4 but they’re having a human year when not everything goes there way. People say that the Vikings are washed up and have never been good those are people I like to call wrong from 1970-2000 they were the dominate team in the NFC north with 14 division championships, and 21 playoff appearances.
The Vikings today have a lot of people that are all stars like Running Back Adrian Peterson, WR Percy Harvin, Defensive End Jarred Allen, and right out Linebacker Chad Greenway. Along with a young head coach Leslie Frazier. They have also been dominant in the 2000’s with a winning percent of over .660. Back to the coaches they have had a history of coaches with very good winning percents. Like Brad Childress his record was 36-25. More coaches are Dennis Green, Norm Van Brocklin, Leslie Frazier, and long time great Bud Grant. Lastly is there high tech stadium The Metro-dome built in 1982 it holds roughly around 67,000 people. It has been the home to the Vikings for 29 years as well as the Minnesota Twins (Baseball) up until 2009.

Ark Angel
Alex Rider teenage spy at only 14 years old he has been on countless missions that have almost ended his life he has been able to pull through though but Alex hates working for MI6 the British spy agency but for some reason he accepts the offers to go back into the field.
In the book the climax is very big and some events leading up to the climax are when the tension between Alex and Nick Dervin builds the start is when Alex beats Dervin in a go kart race(Dervin hates to lose), and Dervin proclaims that Alex cheated. Next is when they are in flamingo bay Dervin finds out that Alex is a spy and tries to kill him but he was rescued by Dervin’s assistant Tarma Knight who was working for the CIA and was working undercover as Dervin’s assistant. Next is when Dervin’s men find Alex and Tarma spying on Dervin. After that is when Alex and Tarma were in jail the next morning were going to be killed but Alex came prepared his shoelaces were diamond edged he cut out of the cell and managed to escape the next task was how to alert the CIA that was staked out on the next island 10 miles away and Alex doesn’t have a phone, his only tool was to kite surf the whole way after he is half way there he notices that he was being followed by Dervin’s men he has to confront them after almost being killed the boat blew up and it was the CIA they had managed to see him and came now the climax when the CIA operatives and Dervin’s men battled and they take over the island as well as Dervin dyeing. In this book the major conflict was between Dervin and his son and it was resolved by Paul realizing that his dad is evil and Alex was right and stepped in front of Alex taking the bullets that Dervin had fired at Alex.

Miami Heat
Miami Heat
The Miami Heat are one of the best teams in the NBA they are in the NBA finals against the Dallas Mavericks they are leading the series 2-1. The heat have always been good with their star player Dwayne Wade but this season they picked up Lebron James and Chris Bosh two stars for their teams. Dwayne still the best player in the NBA he single handedly took the Heat to the NBA finals and won when Lebron who is supposed to be so good he hasn’t won a championship the only reason he’s in the championship is because Dwayne has anchored the team. I want the Heat to win in game seven so the finals are really exciting.

Story about Jackson(wolf)
The Unlucky One
One day Jackson was walking down lollipop lane the most peaceful place in all the land. All of a sudden out of the shadows came “Alec the godfather” the leader of the mafia and he was mad. Alec threw a forceful punch at Jackson’s gut knocking the wind out of him, and then Alec used his Louisville slugger and hit Jackson in the buttocks and sent him flying into a box of grapes where Brandon the brave was taking a nap. Brandon was very mad and cranky Brandon let out an angry roar and knocked Jackson into next week. Where Alec was waiting for him Alec held Jackson until Brandon got there he took his mighty red Sharpe and drew woo shoo man mustache on his face it looked epic. He put on his “lucky” necklace for luck but luck is a bunch of crap so he was completely vulnerable. He was going to take the train to go home because he was totally beat up and crying, but his ”lucky” necklace got caught on the train and the train bolted off and Jackson went with it he was dragged all the way to Mississippi he finally got off he was totally confused, then Jack Renick came out on the station with the undertakers theme song playing he took his bag full of cash and slammed it on Jackson he kicked him and walked away.

Basketball Essay
Do you play sports? Well I do and my absolute favorite sport is basketball, I play two kinds of basketball I play for rec and school basketball. It is such a fun and athletic game and I know a lot about the game to. Basketball is the best sport ever.
My introduction to basketball was when I saw my first Milwaukee Bucks game with my dad, I immediately loved it. I started when I was 10 years old playing for the Pewaukee rec teams. My first team won the Richard Opie tournament, and I have played since. I think my best position is at shooting guard but I really want to play point guard. My favorite memory of basketball was meeting Steve Nash point guard for the Phoenix Suns I got to shake his hand and get an autograph from him. It was when the Suns came to play the Bucks, I have played a total of four years of basketball and I want t keep on playing. I always practice with my friend Alex at his hoop we also play a lot of pickup games with his eighth grade friends. I think I’m as good as I am because I play against eighth graders all the time and they are twice my size so I learned from them. From playing with them I learned a lot especially with shooting because since they were all taller than me I had to get around them or the ball would end up back in my face, I don’t want that.
I’m also a huge fan of the game of basketball my favorite teams are the Milwaukee Bucks, the Atlanta Hawks, and the Oklahoma City Thunder. My favorite players are Steve Nash, Kevin Durant, Joe Johnson, Dwayne Wade, Ray Allen, and Kobe Bryant. They are all very good players for their teams; they all stand out in their own way. I go to about five games a year but I watch the games on TV to. I especially like when the games are close like by a couple points or when my favorite players are hot in scoring. Like when Kobe hit I think it was twelve of thirteen three-pointers to break the record for most three-pointers in a single game. But my favorite game is the NBA finals this year it is between the Miami Heat vs. the Dallas Mavericks.

It is my dream to play in the NBA play alongside my idols and be one of the greats in basketball like MJ or Kareem-Abdul Jabar, even if I don’t get to the pros I will always be a fan of the game and route my team onto victory.
Do you play sports? Well I do and my absolute favorite sport is basketball, I play two kinds of basketball I play for rec and school basketball. It is such a fun and athletic game and I know a lot about the game to. Basketball is the best sport ever.
My introduction to basketball was when I saw my first Milwaukee Bucks game with my dad, I immediately loved it. I started when I was 10 years old playing for the Pewaukee rec teams. My first team won the Richard Opie tournament, and I have played since. I think my best position is at shooting guard but I really want to play point guard. My favorite memory of basketball was meeting Steve Nash point guard for the Phoenix Suns I got to shake his hand and get an autograph from him. It was when the Suns came to play the Bucks, I have played a total of four years of basketball and I want t keep on playing. Summer
I love the summer the weather is so nice and I get to go on vacation. In the summer time I go to Good Times Summer Day Camp, It is so much fun there is so much to do there we have a pool we go on feild trips two times a week to all theise cool places like 6 flags, the movies, mount olymips, a brewer game, we have alot of overnighters at camp. We have a band come every friday so we get to listen to them, we play so much sports thats most of our day playing some type of sport from baseball to trenchball. All of the counclers are awesome they are alot of fun, I think one of the rules to work there is you have to be alot of fun and awesome. I love summer.

Basketball Essay
My favorite thing to do is play basketball, I am pretty good at it. Basketball is my favorite sport.
Why is basketball my favorite sport, because I'm good at it I have been playing basketball since I was 9 I started on rec. My friend Alex tought me how to play. I think I'm good because Alex is an eight grader now so I would pley with him and his friends so if i took a regular shot it would end up blocked so I had to find a way around them and I translated that onto the court. My best range is medium and close range shots my only disadvantage is my height i'm only 5 foot so it is easier to block my shots. I also love playing defense I'm good at stealing the ball from the guy I'm guarding.
My favorite NBA team is the Milwaukee Bucks and the Atlanta Hawks the bucks had a down season this year while the hawks made the playoffs but got eliminated in the first round. The bucks and hawks are both in the eastern confrense. The bucks star player is Brandon Jennings and the hawks star player is Joe Johnson. Jennings is a Point Guard and Johnson is a Power Forward.

Creative Writing Piece
Once upon a time in the land of amazing vile there was a man, a man named Joe Fletcher. He was a secret services agent. Joe had done many things in his life, he was the first man on Mars, he had broken many records for physical events like most weight lifted and fastest mile time. But this was his most rewarding career he has saved many life's before like the president of the United States and many more government officials. But while his last mission he had enough with being pushed around by his superiors so he got in touch with the Taliban. His mission was to extract the secrets in the pentagon about the States defenses he had it planed out but people need to be more careful with secrets because his partner Rickie Harris had over heard the conversation and knew what was going to happen.
Joe was ready he had the flash drive and a pistol but he didn't know Rickey had been following him, Joe took the stairs to the lower level of the pentagon Rickey followed he was trying to keep Joe with in eyes sight but he was beginning to loose him. Rickey heard the door shut and he heard gunshots Rickey pulled out his colt and headed down the siren was screaming and Rickey heard other agents rushing down to see what happened Rickey opened the door and saw Joe but before he could pull up his gun Joe's bullet hit Rickey in the chest Rickey was down and out cold when he woke up there was a battle Joe was winning the fight he had already dropped three agents Rickey picked up his gun and shot Joe in the forehead it was all over

Music is great I love music. The songs have great beats and lyrics, I especially love rap music with that type of music a lot of its explicit but if you get passed the swearing the songs mean something. That is why I mostly love Eminem he is my favorite rapper. Even though in some songs if you get the clean version you only hear 20 words and the rest silence. Well I don't get the clean version but in his songs they mean something his most deep song is probably "Like Toy Soldiers" in his album Encore it is actually 3ecore the e is backward that I think is Eminem's signature the backwards e it is on all of his albums that have an e in it the 1 e is backwards. Even in his stage name the last e is backwards E-M-I-N-3-M. I have no idea what is symbolizes. But I bet in means something.

My interpretation of the song, this song was indefinitely suppose to be sad, when Eminem says I’m supposed to be the soldier who never blows his composure he means he needs to keep calm because his crew depends on him to be the leader and guide them. He also mentions his and 50 cents feud between Ja rule. In the rap world it is crazy with violence and feuds and that was Eminem’s ammo when he was writing this song he also uses a multitude of rappers that have been killed through all of the chaos including Tupac Shakur, Notorious B.I.G, Big L, and former D12 member Bugz.

Curtis “50 cent” Jackson is one of the best rappers ever you would think he has the good life. He is rich, and he is famous. But his life is isn’t all good before he was a rapper he was a gangster he robbed banks, he shot people, he has been in jail, but his direction had changed when he became a rapper his gang had it out for him now but something terrible happened on May, 5, 2000 he was leaving his grandma’s house and he got into his friends car who was picking him up when a car came up next to the car that 50 was in. A spray of gunfire came from the other car and hit 50 nine times while the gunfire was going on 50 pulled out his gun and fired but nothing happened the gun wasn’t cocked when the other car left his friend threw 50’s gun down the sewer so there would be no suspicions and drove 50 to the hospital. A bullet had gone through 50’s left pinkie finger and came out his right thumb; another bullet went through 50’s cheek and is still in his tongue today.”That’s why he has a slight lisp today”. He was also hit in the chest and legs he survived but was in the hospital for a while. When he got out he released his album “Get Rich or Die Tryin’”. G-Unit”50’s group” made up of 50 cent, Lloyd banks, Tony Yayo, and Young Buck. Went after the shooters, he now is very heavily guarded he has a bullet proof vest, hat, pants, and Benz. G-Unit is always around him too 50 has his gun, Lloyd has his gun, Yayo has his gun and Buck has his gun with them all time so now it’s hard to get to 50 cent. When 50 was locked up in jail he wrote 3 of his song on the wall including “Candy Shop”, “I get Money” and I don’t know the last one.

Once upon a time there was a boy named Jackson Wolf he was a very unlucky boy as you heard his story at the ski slopes. Well this is another story about his unluckiness, he was walking home from school when a bird pooped on his head he tried to wipe it off with a leaf but the leaf he used was poison oak so now he was itchy and had bird poop on his head. He thought that it couldn’t get any worse….. But he was very wrong all of a sudden a very angry squirrel came sprinting up on him and attacked him, the squirrel scratched him and bit him. The squirrel left and Jackson was all scratched up, all of a sudden a pot of lemonade came flying at him and landed on him the lemonade got into his cuts and stung him. At this point Jackson was on the ground when a fat kid came up to him and kicked him and ran away. In the end Jackson got home and went to bed hoping the next day he would have better luck.

Button, necklace, balloon, straw, puzzle piece, and toothpick.
One day little Jackson Wolf was walking down the street with his lucky necklace he was at a ski resort when his lucky necklace got caught on the ski lift he was dragged up the ski lift by his necklace he could not breath. He cut his lucky necklace off with his spare puzzle piece, he started to roll down the hill but he got caught by the ski lift again. And began his journey up the hill did I mention that Jackson Wolf is very unlucky. Back to the story, he got to the top of the hill he stood up and landed in bear scat. He was not happy suddenly a balloon came flying and hit him he started to roll down the hill. He hit his head on a rock and was sent to Narnia where he lived his days as a toothpick maker. His only weapon was a fork that was missing all of the points. He could only afford a button because he got sued by the lion for trespassing on his property. He tried to get back to reality by smashing his head on a rock repeatedly but this only sent in to emergency care. After he got out of emergency care he could not pay the bill so he got sued again for not paying the bill and stabbing a doctor with a straw. He was sent to jail and roomed with the ice witch who had BO. Jackson Wolf was fed up with Narnia so he woke up and was laying by the rock that he hit his head on he got up and saw there was a hair clip stuck to his nose he got it off and threw it but a police officer saw the whole thing and sent him to jail for littering and possession of illegal bear scat. He got out of jail and became known as the litter bug and lived his life in a trash can rooming with the ice with that had bad gas and warts. He died by being beat up by the sesame street characters.

Holes
Holes
Have you ever been in the wrong place at the wrong time? Well it seems like that had been the case of Stanley Yelnats life, he always seemed to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. In reality he had bad luck, very bad luck it ran in his family. But this time was bad he was walking under a bridge underpass and a pair of rare Micheal Jordan signed sneakers came flying out of the sky and hit him, he immediately heard seines and he took off. He had no clue what was going on and he saw a police car come roaring off the ramp and chasing after him he was convicted of stealing the shoes and sent to camp green lake, a detention center in the middle of the dessert. This book is a romance.
Why do I say that this book is a romance is because the plot line fits with the romance plot line? First the plot line, in the romance plot line it is a minor conflict well the minor conflict is that Stanley gets sent to camp green lake, but he didn’t commit the crime, he is forced to dig holes all day in the hot sun from six in the morning to five in the afternoon. The next is it ends with life symbolism witch in the end Stanley escapes and breaks his families’ bad luck while finding the treasure of his great, great grandpa.
Stanley Yelnats, he is skinny with a mid Curly Afro, he doesn't have a lot of friends he wasn’t athletic. He was smart he had bad luck. He was not the best looking he was moderately poor. Zero aka hector (Stanley friend he meat at camp) he was short somewhat athletic (he dug the most holes at camp) he was hard working but he didn’t have an education. Mark the head honcho among the boys’ well that’s what it seemed. He was muscular he wore glasses he had a short buzz cut. There are a lot of other characters but if I described them this entire essay would go on and on.

Childhood Memory
Once when I was a kid at age 8 my mom, step dad, sister, step sister and I went on a house boat and we traveled up and down the Mississippi River for the most part it was fun but at some parts it wasn't but overall I had a good time.
On the water, when we were on the water we mostly traveled the Mississippi but we also fished one time we were fishing my step dad and me were fishing and he had to go and do something(I don't remember what because it happened a while ago) and i had to man two fishing poles so I was waiting for him to get back and my pole got tugged so I went to see if I got robbed or if the fish was still on the line and midway through me reeling back my fishing pole. Tony's pole flew into the water and I yelled to him and he came rushing out and I told him what happened and he got in his fishing boat and went to look for the pole since it was one of his best poles and about 30 minutes later he found the pole and the fish was still on it, the fish was a cat fish and it was huge. Traveling wasn’t the funniest thing to do but we saw some cool things. Also we went through a couple dams it was cool because we had to go through a lock where we change in water level I got to hold onto one of the ropes that holds the boat when the water level changed. Some parts of being on water is when I went out on the fishing boat and we were coming back in and I got my hand slammed into the fishing boat and the house boat it hurt like a lot.
On land was the most fun because we camped in a different area every night we got to make bonfires, explore the island we camped on. We also got to fish and go on the fishing boat (well we fished everywhere). We stopped in local towns and bought stuff we explored and did a lot of stuff I wish we could go back on the house boat it was a lot of fun.

Also we went through a couple dams it was cool because we had to go through a lock where we change in water level I got to hold onto one of the ropes that holds the boat when the water level changed. Some parts of being on water is when I went out on the fishing boat and we were coming back in and I got my hand slammed into the fishing boat and the house boat it hurt like a lot.
On land was the most fun because we camped in a different area every night we got to make bonfires, explore the island we camped on. We also got to fish and go on the fishing boat (well we fished everywhere). We stopped in local towns and bought stuff we explored and did a lot of stuff I wish we could go back on the house boat it was a lot of fun.

Football
Football is a wonderful sport it is exciting, but this season there might not be a football season because the CBA expired and the NFL and the NFLPA could not reach an agreement so the 2011 season has hit the scrap heap I'm very sad because I'm the biggest football fan ever. Since there is no season all of the coaching staffs and commissioner will be played only an equivalent of two weeks pay and the commissioner will only get $1 when he was supposed to make 5 million.

March Madness is an event when college basketball teams get to compete to win the tournament. personally I want the University Of North Carolina. Aka the Tar Heels to win the tournament. Most of the nation gets into the madness hence the name March Madness, and it only happens in March. Most people make custom brackets and they pick who they think will win" most of my friends do it also so do I."

Eminem
Eminem
I’m thinking of a person his name is Marshall Mathers but not a lot of people know him by that name, most people know him as Eminem the multi platinum selling artist. He is the most successful rapper in history and the most controversial thing about him is that he is white and he is a rapper, rap is pronominal black race because they have a lot more rhythm. But to know how he comes up with his amazing rhymes and hardcore songs you have to look in his past when he was a kid, this is story. In the story we meet him his mom, one of his only friends whose nickname was future. Who basically introduced Marshall to rap and hosted the battles at the shelter, in this book you learn a lot about how Marshall was raised through a tough life full of hardships that he had to overcome to able him to be what he is today.
When Eminem was a kid he lived on the famous 8 mile road that separated the black or the 313 and white half of the 818 of Detroit. When he was a kid he had no friends he was bullied everywhere his mom was an abusive drug addict, who barley took an interest in Eminem, his dad walked out on him when he was a few months old. Some severe cases was when Eminem was out on a playground one of the many bullies was confronting him and he took it to far and put Eminem into a comma and when Eminem came to for about three months after he had panic attacks whenever he saw someone that looked like his attacker. Another case was when Eminem was in the bathroom his major bully whose name was De’angelo Bailey broke his nose and left him in the bathroom. After that Eminem had amnesia for a while. Eminem failed the eighth grade three times. Finally he dropped out of school and began rap battling at the local shelter on the black side of Detroit. That is when future mainly comes on to place. Marshall was a genus but not in school smarts he could piece together music and rhymes very easily. But rap battling probably not what you think it is basically you have a certain amount of time to rhyme and insult the challenger. But when Eminem went to his first rap battle he chocked and got booed off stage and before the rap battle he threw up in the bathroom. When he rap battled he was up against the free world group that specialized in rap battling first he rap battled Lickety Split form the free world and Eminem beat him by a long shot then he versed Lotto but that battle was close but Eminem won. Then it was the championship round and it was Eminem vs. the defending champion and part of the free world Papa Doc, at that battle Eminem put it into full drive and released everything he had at Papa Doc and when it was Papa Docs turn he chocked and Eminem became the champion after the battle a couple days later the free world group wanted revenge so they went to his trailer park and beat him up.
After he got out of Detroit he was a free rapper looking to be signed but he kept getting rejected but then came Dr. Dre a legendary rapper that had already changed rap twice and was out to do it a third time this time with Eminem so he signed Eminem to Aftermath records, even though everyone said don’t sign him because he was white. After that Eminem released his first album the Slim Shady LP and in the first week of sales he sold over 500,000 albums and after every new album the sales increased when his next album got released The Marshall Mathers LP it sold over 10 million albums in the first week. But along with a lot of people liking him many people hated him they called him the king of hate. After the second album was released he had made a rap group up called D12 that consisted of one of his high school friend cooper and a bunch of other guys for about three years he was with D12 then it was back to rapping. But then a terror struck Eminem he was addicted to drugs like vikiden, and a bunch of others he was averaging 20 to 30 pills a day finally in 2003 he had overdosed and passed out in the bathroom when he woke up he was in the hospital and the doctor said he was an hour away from dying. After that event he entered rehab which inspired him to write When I’m Gone on his album Curtain Call The Hits. After his three year hastiest he was back but with a new sense he was going to bring up someone like he was so he signed 50 cent a drug dealer who had talent from the streets of Queens. After he had bring up 50 to super stardom to it was back to writing his own songs he had won Grammies and at now times has three children and he had released his latest album Recovery that he had cleaned up himself and he was back.

Evil Star
This book is a sequel to the last book I wrote about this book is book two of the gatekeepers a book that is full of action and adventure written by Anthony Horwitz. The book is about Matt again but he meets the second gatekeeper Pedro a poor boy from Peru, Matt was introduced to Pedro when Matt woke up only to see the boy reaching over him trying to pickpocket Matt. This book is one of the best that I have ever read.
Why I think that is because it is written by one of the best authors ever Anthony Horwitz a very successful author, and the book has a very good plot line and it is full of action and adventure the book has a very superior description every character is described very well. The book is full of suspense also there are a lot of situations in the book that are life or death but matt always finds a way out of those tight situations that he gets placed in. Before this book Matt didn’t have control of his powers but finally he gets a hold of them. When Matt finally finds Pedro they must run away from many things and they have to find Richard who got kidnapped. They have to run away from the police who are mainly searching for Matt because how he got into the country was with a false passport so he basically didn’t exist when Matt and Pedro finally find Richard they have been through a lot they had been shot at beat up they had walked many miles only to find Richard who had been living in paradise he had been a guest in an ancient city that had been waiting for Matt and Pedro to arrive.
Basically the people that were keeping Richard were the Incas an old civilization that was whipped out by the conquistadores but this was the last of them, they were living in a city no one had ever heard about it was a hidden city.
Together the Incas are willing to help Matt, Pedro, and Richard on their quest to find the gate. But they will need to get passed the richest man in South America who was hunting them down and since he was rich he controlled a lot he already had control of the police, and he had control of part of the government. The man’s name was Diego Salmanda. He had been hunting Matt for a while ever since he got his hands on the diary that told about the gates and the gatekeepers the diary had told about everything that was going to happen it told about the old ones and about the final battle that would happen between the gatekeepers and the old ones the winner gets earth.
Those are the reasons that I think evil star is one of the best books I have ever read, it is so exciting I recommend this book to people who love action and adventure.

Ravens Gate
Ravens Gate
Action and adventure books are my favorite genre of books which is what the book I had just read fits in that category. The book is called Ravens Gate a book by Anthony Horwitz. The book is full of action and adventure about a boy whose parents are dead, he was a troubled child. He got into trouble a lot; finally he was caught robbing a warehouse and was sent into the leaf project a fostering care but at his temporary home strange thing are happening and Matt finds out things that will change his life, This book is full of action and adventure.
The book is based in the small town that about one hundred people inhabited it, the town was mainly farmland the town’s name is Greater Malling. That is where Matt would find out something that would change his life, he would find out that he had powers and he was one of the five gatekeepers, and it was his mission to close the first gate. The gates name was Ravens Gate, Matt is an outsider he didn’t have a lot of friends but he was well built and he was good looking. He got in trouble a lot if it was shop lifting to skipping school, actually he barely went to school, his parents died when he was six. He was hanging out with the wrong people his best friend was also a criminal.
He was finally sent into the L.E.A.F. project basically it is a temporary fostering care program. He had been put in a temporary home living with an old woman named Ms. Derville she was different also Matt had his suspicions about her. A reason is that she had given him this strange drink and when he drank it he was out cold. He woke up the next morning with one heck of a head ache. Matt had been forced to work countless hours in the blazing sun when he was supposed to be in school, he had hated being in the L.E.A.F. project and he had especially hated Ms. Derville she was mean and cruel. He had been promised to be checked up on by his officer and finally he came he had threatened Ms. Derville with taking Matt back to his original home, hours later when the officer was driving home he got in an accident and was instantly killed. When Matt found out the news his suspicions started to grow leaps and bounds about this place about the town and everybody that inhabited it. Matt had contemplated running away from the house but he had avoided it for a while but after the incident with the officer he had made up his mind he was going to escape. But the attempt had only come to fail, he was basically going in a circle, but he knew it was impossible he had come here from one road but every possible route he took he ended up right where he started. Chain Story
In the land of jelly beans there was a man named Ronald McDonald. He ate gum drops and gummy worms everyday even though he was supposed to be on a diet. You see Ronald was a very fat man everyday he told himself he wanted to loose weight, but he just gained more and more. So one day he said " I'm done I need to loose weight!" Then he went to McDonald's and had a big mac and a small fries and a hamburger instead of two big macs and large french fries and a hamburger. He started to get thinner, but got sick because of his change of diet. Soon he got so thin he evaporated and became air. But then he got apple dippers so he would be more healthy, he gained his body back then lost it all and became a microscopic person. You could not see him with the naked eye, he was unhappy with his body and tried to gain weight. He ate everything he used too to gain weight, then his girlfriend gave him a potion and he shrank again. Then she ate him, he never thought she was a cannibal, he never saw it coming.

monkeys
Monkeys are awesome they are so cool they are very flexible they swing from tree to tree. I would like to have one as a pet if my sister was annoying me I could let the monkey loose and it would scare her. Monkeys are also good for getting rid of lice.

Music
I love music it is so cool there is a lot of different types of music some are good and some are bad. My favorite type is Rap it is unique and almost every rapper has an interesting back story. My favorite rapper is Eminem, Dr.Dre, and 50 Cent. They all have awesome songs and they all have unique back stories also, rap isn’t the most appropriate style of music in fact it’s the most dirty style but I still like it.

Creative Writing Piece
Snow days are always fun for kids and even staff it gives you an extra day away from school to relax, personally I love snow days. You get to sleep in and do what ever you want and you get to miss a day of leaning I hope for a snow day when I have a big test or assignment that I'm not ready for, so it gives me an extra day to prepare. The only downside is that I would have to go out and shovel the driveway even though I get paid for it so its an upside and a downside to it. Its cool because we wouldn’t have to make it up in the summer.

Hello America we’re going to spend the next paid programming block to tell you about the book Deep Water. We are also going to take your questions also and I brought a friend along to do it give a warm welcoming to William Douglas, the author and the main character of the book. Now let’s start taking questions from you America.
You in the pink top, hi my question is how old is the writer when he started to fear water. Well I’ll let William take this one; I was three of four at the time when he experienced the horrible accident. Wait I have a follow-up question how did you become afraid of water? I was in California with my dad at the time, we were surfing and a wave hit me and shoved me off the board I was pinned under the water I had lost my breath and I was scared out of my mind, and that is how I became afraid of water. Now on to someone else how about you with the round glasses, my question is what happens when he is thrown in the pool? I’ll field this one he was not the strongest swimmer yet so he started to sink to the bottom when he hit the bottom he jumped up to try to get to the top but he sank to the bottom this repeated a couple more times until he blacked out. Thanks for the question but we have to move on how about you with the big Grey sweater. Can you explain what affect the swimming pool incident had on William? It made me not want to ever swim again I was scared to death I ran home and cried in bed I didn’t have dinner that night.
We don’t have a lot of time left so we have to move on you in the front row. Thanks for calling on me my question is how did William overcome his fear, and how long did it take? I got a personal coach to train me to swim and it took me about nine months to overcome my fear. Now for our last question how about you cool my question is what did he do to overcome his fear? I went to Lake Wentworth in New Hampshire I dived off the dock and swam two miles to an island in the middle of the lake that's how I proved to myself that I had overcome my fear.

Final response
I didn't like the book, in the beginning it was easy to loose interest in the book since there isn't a lot of action. I think that the book could have had a better plot line. In the beginning of the story it was hard to follow the story.

The pearl
I think that the book is a little hard to follow some times. The book is full of mysteries and questions. Some are will someone try to steal the pearl and will the baby die, those are just some of the questions in the book. I some what like the book, it hasn’t got a lot of action in it or adventure yet. I'm hoping the book will pick up soon maybe have some more action. The story plot is pretty good so far, I wonder if the pearl will not be as valuable when they try to use it.

Will the pearl destroy the family?
I think it will because Kino and Juana will get into an argument involving what they want they will get greedy and only think of them self and nobody else. Like when the money of the pearl starts getting low they will argue when they want something like if Kino wants a new better model of a rifle that he has, and Juana wants a new silk dress but they would cost more money than they have left.
