Predicting for "The City Of Ember"

Predicting for the city of ember

Authors note: I am writing this essay about predicting for the book “The City of Ember”.

In this book so far there are two main characters Lina and Doon they both live in a city that is powered by nothing but lights. But the city is in danger the power is about to fail, and the city is running out of supplies rapidly. There are two solutions but they are both risky, one is to go out into the darkness and try to seek out another city. But the darkness holds uncertain dangers and is risky. Another idea is to try to fix the generator but no one knows how to work the generator because it is old and no instructions were left in case of it breaking down.

I predict that the people will be forced to travel into the darkness and attempt to find another city. The reason I predict this is because it seems like the most logical solution but no one has managed to get a mobile light source to take with them when they go into the darkness to light the way and they will find another city that can help the city of ember.
